Day 8: Thanksgiving Month

I sat down at my computer with my coffee this morning and my mind blanked out.   Fingers just sat still on the keys and eyes stared at the screen.  Can I really not think of something to be grateful for today??  Woa, that's sad.   I can think of the same things I've already thought of, and that's not a bad thing.  It's always good to recount, and remember, all those things that are blessings.  Big blessings.  But I want to see more than the usual, big things.  I want to be grateful for all things, in all times.  So, i'm going to get creative and start to look at EVERYTHING and remember that I have SO MUCH to be thankful for.

91.  An electric iron.  So glad I don't have to build a fire and use a cast iron hunk of metal to press my clothes
92.  DVR.  So really, I remember when I had to record shows with a VHS tape.  What a drag!
93.  Fast Forward Button.  I was watching some shows that have been sitting on my DVR last night.  A surge of anger hit me as another political commercial came on.  Gosh, don't they know that election is over!!  Enough already!!  ......  .......   oh.  woops.  This is recorded. ..... I can fast forward .....
94.  Handsome taking time before work to read books with the kids and then eating with us.
95.  Handsome taking the trash out!
96.  The other day I was busy caring for Pipsqueak and Monkey decided to empty the entire bottom rack of the dishwasher all by herself.  No help.  Wow!  I was and continue to be so blessed by that gesture.  Love her!
97.  Exercise equipment in my home.
98.  Wine.  It's so tastey!
99.  Furniture.  Let me clarify.  I have a vision for what my house can look like.  I know the furniture I want, but it is not time for us to buy it.  I have been blessed with mismatched pieces.  It is really a HUGE blessing!  I have what I need, even if it's not what I prefer.  God is so good to me.  I am content!
100.  A woman's touch.  So, I was thinking that it is so neat that the Lord has given me a desire to create a homey-home.  Even though I don't have my "dream furniture"  I am content to use what I have and somehow (at least in my mind) I'm able to make it work!

Just think, I hit 100 things in 8 days.  I know without a doubt that I could've listed more things each day, but I am a finite person, with mommy brain.

Another good day of exercising my gratitude.  In the short time it took me to type these things out I can feel a marked difference in my outlook for today.   I encourage you to take some time to type out a few things too!
